Updated Buy With Prime Program Will Make Shopping More Easier: Says Amazon

As per recent reports, Amazon is about to update its “Buy with Prime” program, which allows retailers to add the Prime Badge on their website.

The updated program is expected to be broadly available to all eligible U.S. sellers by the end of January. The revelation of how much the sellers would pay to use the Prime Badge is yet to be done by Amazon.

The move to update the "Buy with Prime" program by the giant retailer could create a new source of recurring revenue for them. Sellers using the updated version of the "Buy with Prime" program will allow sellers to display Amazon reviews of their products directly on their websites.

Dive Insight:

On January 10th, 2023, Amazon announced that it would expand its Buy with Prime services, allowing other online sellers to add the Prime Badge on their website for inventory covered under the program. In other words, the program will let sellers tap into the company's massive logistics and fulfillment network to deliver their goods.

This service was initially launched as an invite-only program, but as Amazon announced on Tuesday, it will become available to all U.S. sellers by January 31st.

Although, Amazon is silent about the price that needs to be paid for using the add-on Buy with Prime services. But, the company said that it would be charged based on the fulfillment and storage fees, which may vary depending on the seller's inventory.

The program will allow the sellers to display their Amazon listing’s reviews and ratings on their website. But, they will have no control over the reviews. For instance, sellers can't eliminate negative reviews and just keep the positive ones on their websites.

After the resounding success of the Buy with Prime program rolled out last April, Amazon decided to extend the program. The company claimed that customer conversions rose by 25%, on average, for sellers that used this program. Amazon also cited examples of merchants that had reduced their delivery periods from one to two weeks to just a few days.

According to Vice President of Buy With Prime, Peter Larsen, the company has been closely working with merchants since launching Buy with Prime, and they are thrilled to hear that the program has driven such impressive results so far. They further added that they would continue innovating and investing in new features and tools to help merchants of all sizes succeed and provide Prime members the shopping benefits they love.
